To achieve this exceptional sequence, Ma climbed to the advanced base camp at an altitude of 6,500 meters. He waited for the rare combination of clear skies, calm winds and perfect alignment with the climbers’ progress. Filming had to start at sunrise – timed to the minute – and follow the route precisely, without the slightest error in camera movement.

The result is stunning: we climb the ridge and the successive camps. Then, in the bluish light of dawn, we see climbers reaching the summit of Everest, while another, alone, is already on top. Lhotse can be seen in the background.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=”4.19.0″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat” max_width=”1200px” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”4.16″ custom_padding=”|||” global_colors_info=”{}” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_video src=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HEpi-S9qacY&t=2s” _builder_version=”4.24.2″ global_colors_info=”{}”][/et_pb_video][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

[et_pb_section fb_built="1" _builder_version="4.16" global_colors_info="{}" theme_builder_area="post_content"][et_pb_row _builder_version="4.16" max_width="800px" use_custom_width="on" custom_width_px="800" global_colors_info="{}" theme_builder_area="post_content"][et_pb_column type="4_4" _builder_version="4.16" custom_padding="|||" global_colors_info="{}" custom_padding__hover="|||" theme_builder_area="post_content"][et_pb_text _builder_version="4.24.2" text_font_size="18px" hover_enabled="0" saved_tabs="all" global_colors_info="{}" theme_builder_area="post_content" sticky_enabled="0"]
