T<\/span>his is a short film that\u00a0introduces us to the world of French mountain guide Pierre Idris Mehdi<\/strong>, alias Pim. Although not as well known as his partner Juliette Willmann<\/strong> or Leo Slemmet<\/strong>, both of whom appear in the film and share their stories, Pim is nevertheless an outstanding steep slope skier. With its polished cinematography and discreet narration, this unpretentious little (called A guide’s book<\/em>)\u00a0film has the audacity not to try to reinvent anything, but just witness what Pim does and feels.<\/p>\n

It simply shows us how one of the representatives of the Chamonix Mountain Guides Association, who actually comes from elsewhere, lives, works, and dreams. And so what if a few shots relying on sponsor material could have been avoided? Pas aussi connu que sa compagne Juliette Willmann<\/a> ou Leo Slemmet<\/a>, tous deux pr\u00e9sents \u00e0 l'image et au t\u00e9moignage, Pim est pourtant un skieur de pente raide hors pair<\/a>. Entre une cin\u00e9matographie tr\u00e8s l\u00e9ch\u00e9e et une narration toute en discr\u00e9tion, ce petit film sans pr\u00e9tention a l'audace de ne pas pr\u00e9tendre \u00e0 r\u00e9inventer la poudre. Juste nous montrer comment vit, travaille et r\u00eave l'un des repr\u00e9sentants de la Compagnie des guides de Chamonix, pourtant venu d'ailleurs. Et tant pis si quelques plans appuy\u00e9s sur le mat\u00e9riel des sponsors auraient pu \u00eatre \u00e9vit\u00e9s.
