El Capitan has a new queen: Sasha DiGiulian. The American climber has just spent 23 days on the wall to free climb the Platinum route, 39 pitches up to 5.13d. She is the first woman to free climb this route, which was opened in 2016. Her determination paid off after several attempts and nine days stuck on the wall by a rain storm. Former competitor Sasha DiGiulian successfully free climbed El Capitan via the Platinum route, a thousand-meter monster rated 5.13d or even 5.14a. On November 26, Sasha DiGiulian reached the summit of El Capitan after spending twenty-three days on the wall, climbing the 39 pitches of the route one by one, free climbing in a single push.
