A long time ago, in another life, we spent our evenings training in a Muscovite block room called Cherepaha (the Turtle). We were going to Arco. It was the time when everything seemed to have a logical sequence. They became mountaineers, then base jumpers. When Kostia bought a paratrike, a kind of three-wheeled flying cart equipped with a paraglider, to place equipment under virgin walls deep in the taiga, I told myself that they were exceptional, and that it was better not to get too attached to them. They wouldn’t last long. But it was wrong. The Dirty Climbers – Boris Egorov, Vladimir Murzaev and Konstantin Yaemurd – Base jumped, on the 7th of January, from Fitz Roy.
